First sneak preview for the next Artweaver major release which should be available around this autumn. Please visit this blog regularly to see more sneak previews over the next months.

You wonder the last major release of Artweaver was 1 year ago and there are no signs for the next major release? Even though you said some time ago that you will release new major versions every 1.5 years.

This is true, there are no signs yet! But it doesn’t mean that nothing has done. We are heavily working on a new version with nice new features and useful improvements. Soon we will start to tease some of them in a series of blog posts here.

Besides working on the new version we also shipped in the meantime many updates for the current Artweaver version. In total 10 updates over the last 12 months which is an impressive number.

An update for Artweaver Free and Plus 4 to version 4.5.4 is now available. You will get this update automatically over the Artweaver self update feature the next days.

This version includes the following improvements and fixes

• Russian language file by Garniv added
• Document positioning after zooming improved *
• Maximum grid size to 250 pixels increased
• Wrong reset of rotated view with not supported tools fixed *
• Error when selecting text layer in text tool fixed
• Error reports: 2386096378, 2433739697, 2851387731, 1492471284

We have published 3 new howtos which describe how to create and use selections in Artweaver. Those howtos describe in short and with pictures common image editing tasks done with selections:
